Executive Researcher, Osaka Gas
Akira Miyamoto is an Executive Researcher of Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., with more than thirty years of experience in researching international energy markets. Currently as a member of Energy Resources and International Business Unit of the company, which covers LNG procurement and international energy business from upstream to downstream, he leads research works for the unit and other departments of Osaka Gas.

General Manager, SIGTTO
Andrew Clifton is the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of SIGTTO (The
Society of International Gas Tanker & Terminal Operators Ltd), he has over 30 years
experience in the liquefied gas shipping industry. This includes 19 years at sea,
three years as master, mainly on liquefied gas carriers, a first class honours degree
in shipping operations and shore managerial experience over the last 12 years. The
latter includes three years working at the UK’s Marine Accident Investigation Branch
(MAIB), marine superintendent with Golar LNG, almost two years in the SIGTTO
Secretariat as a Technical Adviser and over five years in Indonesia with BP as LNG
Shipping manager for the Tangguh LNG project.
Andrew was also the SIGTTO Panel chairman from October 2008 until becoming
Andrew Clifton is the eighth SIGTTO General Manager. He is also the youngest
General Manager and the first General Manager who was formerly a Technical
Adviser at the Society.

Vice Chairman, NGVA
Lennart Pilskog, born in Sweden, has graduated as Mechanical Engineer and has also
studied Economy, Marketing and Management. He has been with Volvo since many years and
over time engaged in all Volvo products, Cars, Trucks, Buses, industry engines,
constructions machinery and aircraft engines in most parts of the world.
His experience includes managing aftermarket, business and development, setting up
structures and handle operation for Volvo in several countries with a focus on strategic
actions, sales and marketing.
Lennart was the AB Volvo representative in the NGVA Europe Board of Directors between
2010 and 2013, and from January 2014 he is appointed as Secretary General of NGVA
Europe, the Natural and bio Gas Vehicles Association of Europe. From May 2014 he is also
appointed as vice chairperson of the NGV Global Association.
Lennart is back in the board of NGVA Europe as vice chairman from 2018.
NGVA Europe act on behalf of its members as the bridge between gas industry, vehicle
industry and the society to promote the development and the increased use of methane as a
vehicle fuel. This is including CNG and LNG, natural and bio gas, cars, trucks, buses, off
road vehicles and the maritime sector.NGVA Europe currently represents more than 160
members from 40 different countries.

Captain Walter P. Purio
CEO, LNG Marine Fuel Institute
aptain Walter P. Purio is the managing director of P and H Marine Australasia Pty Ltd and currently assists oil and gas companies in Australia to develop their strategies to provide LNG as a marine fuel to the Australasian region. He is the Founding Director and Global Advocate of the LNG Marine Fuel Institute and served as its Inaugural CEO. He is a non-executive director to Pelican Clean Energy Pty Ltd which provides marine expertise, insight and advice to government, resource and oil and gas companies as they explore the potential to develop an LNG as a marine fuel industry in the Southern Hemisphere. He serves as Governor for the non profit Leeuwin Ocean Adventures, providing at sea team learning and development sail vessel training for the youth of Western Australia. Captain Purio is Chairman of QuayChain Ltd, a Singapore registered company providing blockchain bunkering solutions to the global marine fuel industry. He is also a non executive director to CleanSubSea Ltd and Rise x Pty Ltd. providing governance, strategy and global marine expertise.
Captain Purio is a seasoned maritime industry executive who has worked across several marine disciplines including commercial shipping, marine finance, marine compliance, naval operations, offshoring, mining and support to the oil and gas industry and holds a BSc degree from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and dual MBA’s from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, Belgium.
